Dear Reader,

Unless you are looking for trouble, I see no reason why you should continue browsing this depressing fan site.  Even though I find my status as an Unfortunate—a phrase which here means “one who is a fan of A Series of Unfortunate Events and has had at least two and a half narrow escapes from Count Olaf”—quite enjoyable, you might not.  If that’s the case, go do something more cheerful, such as pickling a cucumber, or eating peppermints.  If not... you have been warned.
